TUESDAY / THURSDAY - Regular Club Nights
Our regular Club Nights take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from Saltash Rugby Club in Saltash. We meet from 6:30 p.m. and runs depart at 7:00 p.m.
All runners are organised into training groups. Each group is assigned a Group Leader who arranges the session and ensures that all runners stay together as a group so that no-one runs on their own.
We have training groups at the following minute / mile paces: 6:00, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 & Novices
TUESDAY night sessions - we are currently running a 13-week training programme to prepare members for races in the Spring. It has been devised by our Club Development Officer Steve Baker, who has coached athletes to the Commonwealth Games in the past as well as running his own sub-2:30 marathons, and you can read more here.
THURSDAY night sessions usually comprise a steady run
Winter runs are normally held around the town of Saltash or sometimes we cross the Tamar Bridge into Plymouth
In the Summer we take advantage of the countryside and lanes that surround Saltash
FRIDAY - Absolute Beginner’s Sessions
Specifically for people that would like to try running but are concerned about joining a Running Club:
Benefits are as follows:
- UK Athletics qualified coaches available for assessment and tuition.
- No pressure as everyone will be new to the activity.
- Time to develop stamina and strength
- The opportunity to run with us on other training nights if you wish to take the sport further – but within your own timescales.
Running sessions will start on Friday evenings at
6 p.m. (to start running at 6:15 p.m.) at
Saltash Rugby Club, Moorlands Lane, Saltash.
Sessions will last no longer than one hour

FRIDAY - Catch up run
There is a weekly Friday evening "catch up" run from Saltash Rugby Club for all abilities starting at about 6.15 p.m. (This is in addition to the "Absolute Beginners" group run).
It is intended to be a social run for anyone but especially those who may have missed the Tuesday / Thursday run that week and would like to run with others rather than alone.

SATURDAY - Track Training
Structured training sessions are available at the Brickfields running track, Devonport, Plymouth for all member clubs of the Armada Athletic Forum on Saturday Mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. all year round.

SUNDAY - Long Run
There are long runs departing from the Saltash Rugby Club at 09:00 on (most) Sunday mornings.
Everyone is welcome to join us for these runs.
